Welcome to the new and revised Landmark Publishing website; it’s been a long time coming but I am sure you will appreciate the new look and easy to navigate pages. We have also simplified the operation of buying a book from our online secure site and you will find it much easier and quicker to use.

We have a busy publishing year planned in 2008, with new local history titles coming through later in the year and I am pleased to announce we will be having a new title from Terry Moors with photographs of the railways around Crewe in the 1980s. This follows on from his very popular North Staffordshire Railways featuring his photographs of engines and infrastructure again taken in the 80s. In April there will be two new titles for steam enthusiasts and a new paperback edition of Richard Hills’ popular ‘Drainage of the Fens’; if you look up the ‘New Titles’ page you can pre order these books now.

Our visitor guide range has gone through something of a transformation in the last year. In fact I would like to record my appreciation of all those involved in our busy studio for their efforts in designing so many books in 2007. We have a full publishing schedule in place for this year with an exciting departure from our usual Landmark Visitor Guide’s. If you go to the ‘Visitor Guides’ page and look for ‘Short Breaks in England’ I think you will be interested to see this new departure in travel guides!

As always we appreciate your comments and feedback, you will notice that there is a new and more secure method of contacting Landmark which will we hope reduce the amount of spam and phishing that goes on nowadays.

At Landmark Publishing we are always keen to hear from people who may have a manuscript or are thinking of writing a book; either history or a visitor guide. We have introduced a new page to cover this subject that you might care to look up before getting in touch; go to ‘New Authors’ to learn more.

For those of you who would like to have a book published but cannot find a publisher, Landmark Publishing offer a bespoke service which offers to take control of the production process and can help with sales and distribution matters.

I am particularly keen to work with local history groups or owners of collections of old photographs.
